ARTAS vs NeoGraft Hair Restoration

Artas vs Neograft hair restoration

If you are looking for a hair restoration procedure, you probably have a lot of questions. There are many factors that go into selecting the right method for your needs, including cost and time to see results. In this article, we’re going to focus on two popular options: ARTAS vs NeoGraft. We’ll explore the key differences between these two procedures so that you can make an informed decision about which one is best for you!

Table of Contents

What are ARTAS and NEOGRAFT?

ARTAS and NEOGRAFT are the two most common types of hair-transplant procedures. Both have FDA approval.

Each system has its own advantages and disadvantages, but overall they offer similar results.

How Does ARTAS System Work?

This technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver fast and precise results. The ARTAS iX system also uses computer-controlled robotic arms guided by 3D imaging to help place the grafts in just the right spot.

Your surgery will be performed in our fully accredited facility by experienced hair transplant surgeons who specialize in this type of treatment.

Artas vs Neograft hair restoration

How Does NeoGraft Work?

NeoGraft and ARTAS are both Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) systems that allow the transplantation of hair follicles from the patient’s donor area without making any incisions. However, the NeoGraft is a handheld device while the ARTAS system is fully robotic.

So, the main difference between ARTAS and NeoGraft is the harvesting process. During a NeoGraft procedure, an experienced Technician manually harvests the hair from the donor area of the patient’s scalp, whereas this process is automated with ARTAS via a computer-controlled robotic arm.

More Differences Between ARTAS and NeoGraft

ARTAS uses a double-punch system in which an inner punch has cutting capabilities to score the uppermost part of the skin, followed by an outer punch that has a blunt edge used for dissection of the follicular units from surrounding tissue. This is supposed to minimize harm to the grafts.

On the other hand, NeoGraft uses the sharp punch method of extraction. With this system, a hand-held device is placed on the scalp. The punch spins, separating the grafts from the surrounding donor tissue. Once the upper part of the graft is dissected, there is a suction unit that pulls it out.

Also, the ARTAS system can only be used to remove hair from the back of the head, NeoGraft (in the hands of an experienced surgeon) can harvest hair from other areas of the body.

ARTAS vs. NEOGRAFT: Which Is Right for You?

Artas is the gold standard in hair restoration, and it’s a great option if you have dark, straight hair. But Neograft is better for those who have curly hair and women because it doesn’t require you to shave any of your existing hair off.

What To Expect Before And After The Procedure?

Both the ARTAS and NEOGRAFT systems are safe, effective, and easy to use. They offer permanent results. Both will give you natural-looking hair growth in about 6-12 months. The procedures are minimally invasive, so the recovery time is quick.

Are There Side Effects From ARTAS or NEOGRAFT Procedures?

For the most part, no. There are some minor discomfort after the procedure and a few potential side effects that you can talk to your doctor about. Some patients may experience swelling, bruising, and tenderness on the scalp. However, other complications are not common.

Summary

Both the ARTAS and NEOGRAFT systems use advanced technology to deliver natural-looking results. Each procedure is tailor-made to meet your individual needs and address any concerns that you may have. So, it’s always important to consult with a specialist to determine which procedure is best for your needs. We hope this review has been helpful.
